The bridge between the industry, the real world and the institute.
Finding the gap between what industry needs and what students leave with.
The IIC was established to create an effective industry–institute interface for students. A higher education institution needs continuous interaction with industry to judge what it should be preparing students for, and the cell plans, coordinates and runs the work that follows from that - skill development, in-plant training, internships, industrial visits, student projects and guest lectures.

What it actually does.
Organises guest lectures, seminars and workshops by industry professionals, exposing students and faculty to current practice and emerging trends.
Facilitates the participation of industry experts in curriculum design, review and upgradation, keeping the syllabus relevant and employability-oriented.
Promotes and supports industry-relevant certification programmes in collaboration with recognised organisations.
Arranges industrial visits and internships, so learning is experiential and students get practical exposure.
Coordinates entrepreneurship awareness programmes with industry, to nurture innovation, creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Maintains relationships with industries and corporate organisations to bring campus recruitment drives and placement opportunities to the college.
Promotes faculty consultancy assignments with industry, encouraging knowledge transfer and applied research.
Facilitates joint research projects with industry partners on real-world problems.
Supports startup initiatives and incubation through mentoring, networking and linkage with incubation centres and funding agencies.
The IIC Coordinator, in consultation with the Head of the Institution, plans, executes and monitors these activities, and keeps the documentation and periodic review that quality assurance and accreditation require.
